Quick BEC wiring question

I finally got a good servo for my old crawler so I'm putting a CC BEC on the Rooster. I usually splice into the deans plug but this ESC still has a positive and negative lead from where I cut off the switch. Just wondering if I can just solder the BEC onto these leads, I assume they're in the same circuit because they use to cut power to the ESC. Is there any problem with doing this or is it the same as splicing into the deans plug? Thanks.....

I thought the Rooster already has a BEC? I would go with splicing into the deans plug.

Not sure if it has an internal BEC but if it does I doubt it can handle a 7955 servo. I ran it for years with a 5645 and never had an issue but I'm pretty sure I need a BEC with the new servo.

I think it would be better to splice into the plug.

The wires for the switch work like a relay and are not made to the amount of current the BEC could require to run the servo you are wanting use.

I hope that makes sence.

Makes sense to me, just thought it'd be a nice easy spot to connect the BEC but I'll go right to the plug. Cheers........
