Default "The Dig" has me stumped

Here is what I have...

DX3R
2 FXR's
Novak "The Dig"

...and here is the problem. I set up each ESC with the HotWire link and tested them for correct function. I then installed "The Dig" in accordance to the instructions provided by Novak. Here is the problem, it will flash all the pretty lights like the instructions say but I only get power to 1 axle and no dig function at all. Even the LED that should be lit up indicating power to the front axle is not lit.

What am I doing incorrectly? Is there a setting on the radio that needs changing? Am I not fast enough with switching from front to rear dig during the setup procedure?

Check the framerate on the radio. It may be like a Punk unit and not work on the 5.5ms.

Also Gerame when you get it going, post up some feedback. Curious as to how good it works. I've had one here un-opened for a while, may use it for something one day. Back-up rig or something

Just tried setting it on 5.5, 11, and 16.5ms. Same thing. I tried switching the 2 ESC's between the front and rear on "The Dig" and got the same thing but now only the front axle spins with no dig function at all.

Any more ideas?

what are the switch settings set to are you using f and e i believe?? I always set the one but on the bottom of the grip to 2pos and the one above to 3pos so my rear dig is one click and the other switch will do both?? Make sure the travel is set to 100 on the radio aux channel also?? you can also go to the system menu and watch the servo display screen and make sure the radio is switching like its supposed to

I have the AUX set as follows...

"E" shitch set to 3pos
Travel set at 150% (tried it at 100% also)
Expo set at 0%
3rd channel is not reversed
Sub Trim set to 0
Frame Rate has been tried on all settings

Nope, it is in the AUX not the BIND/BATT.

I just tried a different RX, same thing.

Yes sir, I always run in the "Monitor" screen. I know where my dig is at a glance. By the way, thank you so much for the help

I think I am going to take it apart and see if I can get it going. No point in returning a $18.00 part

After cracking into it and checking, I found 3 bad joints and re soldered them. It now works and is set up. Hopefully my soldering is better then Novak's was.

This little experience has convinced me to lay off the Novak products. I have had problems with the crappy programming, large sizes, lack of any options for people outside racing, and a seeming decrease in quality. It is a shame, I have been running Novak ESC's since 1989...
