| Wiring...what the????
I have done my research on how to wire up my setup, but I still cannot figure it out due to the 11,000 wiring diagrams that came with each electronic upgrade and everything else I searched in the forum! Here is my list: AX10 RTC Stock Motor HiTec Servo HS-7950TH Castle SideWinder 1/10th Castle BEC Stock AX10 RTC servo AS-2 connected to -> VP Dig Futaba 3PM-X Receiver/Transmitter The diagrams I have found would help...except everything I have, they also include brown, yellow, and orange. The diagrams only have red, black, and yellow (sometimes) Can anyone help me connect the dots?!?! Last edited by armycrawler101st; 09-28-2010 at 09:50 PM. |

Brown yellow and orange are just different brands of servo's using different colors, they're still the same Brown = black, yellow = white, orange = red. Negative, Signal, Positive. |

Off the ESC: battery and motor are pretty straight forward, your rear steer (DIG) will be 3CH servo #1 (Steering) BEC (battery elim circuitry is for nitro i believe?) |

this is how id wire it i know its kinda messy, so ill explain. -plug the dig servo directly into 3rd channel -plug esc directly into 2nd channel -solder bec to speed control side of battery plug -solder red and brown wires to red and black wires on steering servo, also solder black wire from bec output and run to plug for channel 1 -run steering servo yellow (signal) wire to channel 1 -hook up motor connections i run my setup a bit different than some. whats going on here is the esc is providing power for the receiver and the dig servo, and the bec provides power only for the steering servo. this allows you to run the 7.4 volts to that servo to get the max torque from it. now the extra black wire from the bec to channel 1 of the receiver. i had some serious glitching problems when i didnt have a common ground in my rig, once i added that ground wire all my issues went away. imo this is important to have, however many people dont add it in. |

| OK I know that all the different colors suck but like posted earlier different makes mess ya up. Just remember that they go white/red/black as a base. With that I have done a little change to your graphics. Set your ESC up first then remove or pull out the "red" wire from the ESC since you are using a BEC. Solder in the BEC wires to the same plug as your ESC, so the system is on as soon as you plug the battery in. Don't forget to turn on the TX first. Now just plug in all the rest of the wires to the RX. Set your end points of the dig servo as soon as you get a change so it won't burn up. The ESC you have can be used in a sensor-less brush-less motor, so don't use the white wire. The steering servo should be yellow red black. I'm late to the party :( Last edited by ynmech; 09-05-2016 at 01:15 PM. |

| Sorry, but there are a few things wrong with this. First, NEVER cut that red wire. They can be pulled out easily and tied off for re-use later. Second, his stock servo (which he is wanting to use for the dig) probably wont handle the 7.4V that he is likely wanting to run to the 7950....so he needs to wire the BEC directly to that servo and run the dig servo off of the 6V supplied by the Rx. |

Does the dig servo get wired to any power or does it get its power through the receiver? And do I need to buy a double female connector?

I would just run it directly from the Rx. What are you wanting the double female connector for? |

| rmdesignworks, So I went with your diagram, I have power, my servo is working, but no throttle at all! To test it, I plugged my stock ESC back in and i had throttle again. But nothing when the new ESC is in. I have the ESC in Ch2 and the front servo in CH1 |

did you program the esc? might have the polarity (wrong word) switched to where reverse is forward and forward is reverse on esc.

Nope, Negative is on negative (black with black) and Positive is with positive (red with red). I don't think it is reversed, because I cannot get any forward or reverse motion out of it. I did program the ESC according to the manual too. I did, though, NOT remove the red wire from the connector of the ESC to the Receiver...would that be the factor?? Update: I have motor movement! I had to re-calibrate the ESC, but then forward throttle went backwards, etc. I did research, and reversed the polarity from ESC to motor = fixed. New problem-- The car is "jerky". Either forward or reverse, the car jerks forward, stops, forward, stops...every inch or so.. Any ideas??? |

No, I thought stock AX10 motor was brushless. I'll have to try that. Thanks! Update: So I reprogrammed the ESC to brush motor, problem fixed! Then I had slow reverse, I went back into the option and saw a "reverse speed" so i changed that also, problem fixed! As of right now, everything is working! Thanks everyone for your help and support!! Last edited by armycrawler101st; 09-30-2010 at 11:08 AM. |
