Default Castle Link V3.27

Anyone having issues? Everything installs fine. After install, when I try to use the Castle link, I get a fatal error. I had to reinstall V3.253. Just cant get V3.27 to work.

Runnig Windows Vista, and installed V3.27 the same way I installed all previus versions.

Sure did. I read it twice and I almost think I may have followed the directions correctly. There is still that chance that Im just missing the right step.

Hummm.....well, I just updated two ESCs (Mamba Micro Pros) last night without issue. Maybe you should try uninstalling the program, then reinstalling....instead of upgrading.

I know I missed the part about saving it to your hard drive instead of opening it. What makes me even dumber is the fact that I have forgotten this important tidbit twice now.

I saved it to my "desktop". Then right clicked on it, and selected "run as admin". Then it does its thing, makes a icon, then I think all is well. Double click on it to open it and a window comes up that says fatal error blah blah blah.

Uninstalled the old castle link, then reinstalled V3.27. Same error message.

Fatal error during execution:(Object reference not set to an instance of an object.)

Yeah, whatever the hell that means. I can read the words, but in that order it just means nothing to me.

I would first start with a registry cleaner of some sort. I am sure you can find a free download. This error happens quite frequently.

1. Uninstall Castle software
2. Run Regclean
3. Reinstall software

http://www.regclean.com/

It seems that some of these errors can be due to browser changes, for instance installing Firefox, and the uninstalling and switching to Chrome...etc. Lots of reasons for it. Anyway....

good luck.
