Default World release, Tekin ROC 412

Tekin gave me permission to publish information about their ALL NEW crawler motor. Its 4 pole 12 slot sensored and having driven it Wednesday I can tell you its brushed smooth and has great drag brake. Price is expected to be around $130 for the motor. Its a steep price but as Jim Campell said, they are trying to make the best motor they can. Right now they have 3 variations but by production time plan to have only 2... possibly a 1500kv and 2200kv (2050 shown).

If its anything like their 1/8 scale motors it will be well worth the cost! Any idea if they will work with the novak goat systems?

It's cool to see these companys bringing more products to our little fad of a hobby but that better be one hell of a motor for me to pay that much.

How would it's KV compare to a 21.5T sensored brushless motor?

pshhh. $130 for a crawler motor. That's nothing. I spend that on front axle shafts.

The key question will be: What is the weight and dimensions?

Nah, They look like they might be fishing weights.
I just don't worry about $$$ too much anymore, when it comes to my 2.2 comp rig. I'll pay for something that is worth it. You know, $130 servo, $130 front axle shafts, $85 rear axle shafts, $85 axle tube housings, etc, etc,

Thanks Mr. G.
So what are they saying makes this motor special? Not knocking it, just asking is it suppose to excel at start up torque or be rated for a higher max rpm or ?
We need more specs than just the msrp.

Its a BL motor, therefore potential of more Wheelspeed, and more low end torque.

However, BL have notoriously sucked balls at very slow RPM's, i.e. worthless for crawling.

This, and what John Holmes are working on solve that issue.

hypothetically, it could have all the torque of a 45t-55t brushed, with more wheel speed than a 35t.

Ok, it's a 21.5 motor. But just as important. What's the rotor size stock?

Standing at the booth right now... price is not set in stone, no release date, Ty is running a 2100kv version that I drove.... motor voltage is 3s to 4s but will depend on kv.
