Don't know if this is appropriate here or not, but anyway, I need a new radio for my shafty. I can pick up a used, but well cared for futaba 3pm-x for around 130 or I can spend 70 more bucks and get a 4pl through RCninja.com. My question is do I really need the 4pl for a shafty? Or will the 3pm-x work just fine. Thanks in advance. Zack |

Also, something to consider is the RX cost and size. The 4PL uses smaller and cheaper RX's. If you ever get into scalers or MOA's you'll want this radio.

| Can't help you with that vendor but I am sure you'll be happy with the radio. If you pick it up and have any questions feel free to post in here.

I have a 3PM-x for a MOA with single ESC & servo dig. My son has a 4PL on his shaftie, soon to also be on a MOA with 2 ESC's. I hate his RX prices, almost 1/2 of mine. My radio was a bit cheaper. Both are great radios. I am also a long time Futaba fan, thus rather biased.

| Just program whatever button as a 2 position switch and set your end points and you're set.

What are most of you using as a case for your 4PL? Im in the market for one and I've heard the 4PK case works great with lots of room to spare for extra batteries and a few tools
