| Futaba 3PL question
Dear all! Long story short, I've recently bought a new transmitter, a Futaba 3PL and when I tried to set it up, noticed that the 3rd channel does not work. I've disassembled it, and found that one wire was not soldered correctly to the switch. After all the switch works, it was contact problem. But once I've opened it, I have a question... Basicly it has a 2 position 3rd channel, (and a 4th channel for steering mixing), my question is that can I modify the switch on the picture to a 3 position one? It has 3 wires, You can see on the next picture, red white and grey. Sorry, I'm a huge inexpert in electronics... I know strongly that 10 Ampers at 10 Volts is 100 Watts, but not many more... Thanks: Arpi |

I happen to have one open on my bench right now for another TX hack. I just hooked up a pot and YES, CH3 can be linear. This means you can hook up a pot OR hook up a 3-position switch with a couple of resistors and upgrade CH3. EPAs still work as well! I have every belief that the 3PL will become the 'new TQ3' |

Wow, these are some really good news!!! Many thanks for Your help! I've found too that this transmitter is the way to go, 4WS mixing and dig capable out of the box and as You wrote channel 3 can be modified - I want to use a winch - then there aren't any questions, this is a very-very good deal. |
