Default help with a project

I got a project handed to me and I don't know how to get it done. A friend of mine who is a archer aquired a older powered wheel chair and he asked me to make it radio contrloed so he could mount a 3d foam target to it for practice and a fun shoot for his club. I thought it would be easy to convert a joystick to R/C . The problem is that it is a manual bicycle style steering. So has anybody here got some experience with large scale R/C? I don't know what to do to make the unit steer. the direction part I have already figured out. Any help or direction with web links appreiciated. Thanks in advance for your help

Just build some linkages w/ large scale servos attached to them. One for the steering and one for the joystick throttle.

I was thinking 1/4 scale servos in parrallel with a y servo connector. Should allw me to run 2 servos off 1 channel with a seperate battery source. Is there anything better I can use. Anything from robot builds? I haven't found any yet

sorry no camera available. The steering is set up just like a r/c crawler. I just need something with enough power to turn the linkage. Hope this helps. Thanks again.
