Happens to the best of us. Hit up cheapbatterypacks.com, they can probably make you a replacement for pretty inexpensive. What size and type was your old pack?

my pack was a thunder power 11.1v 2500 mah. it had only been charged twice i have a backup that i am using now from hong kong. just dont need to fry it to.

i have not been able to find any kind of cut off that will work.

with all u tech guy out there i was sure that someone had had this happen before and made a cutoff.

i know it is posible it comes in esc,s just not in a stand alone version

i just dont have the smarts to build it i can solder and follow directions
if someone can tell me what to buy and what to put where
or would be will to pay to have it built

thanks mike

Even though ESCs have a cutoff, they will still drain the lipo all the same if the battery is left plugged into the rig with the power switch off. On a radio you can just turn off the switch instead of unplugging it and be safe. What I am getting at is that there is no auto shut off. You just have to remember to unplug the rig and turn off the radio.

the only thing i can think of to help you remember to turn it off is rig up a bright LED on your transmitter that shows when its on so hopefully you see that better and remember ;)

i think that is what i will do put a bright red led on the front and a 75 dsbl horn on the vibrate wire.

so if you guys see a bright red light and hear a loud horn please remind me to turn off my radio.

thanks mike

What do you meant by "fried?" If the lipo show really low voltage, you can bring it back to range by charging it as NiCad battery. Once in range, charge it as lipo. This only works with rx and tx batteries. Batteries to run the motor would be "gutless" afterward. Keep an eye on the battery while charging.

WARNING - do it at your own risk!
