2s wiring

I have been reading around the forums (mostly here) in an attempt to get my head around what I need for my setup. This is my first rc build (of any kind) and my question has so many elements to it, I'm finding it hard to search. If this ? is easy to find, please suggest some search terms, I'd rather not ask you to re-hash common knowledge!

I'm building a cr-01. I'll be using a Goat 2s, Ballistic 18.5t, spektrum rx, 7954SH servo (hv, 6v & 7.4v capable) and a 2s batt (Hyperion) . I also have a cc bec (coming). Both servo and rx can operate at 7.4v. The impression I get is that the servo will cause a problem (motor stuttering?) as soon as the battery looses a little charge. The servo is still rated for 333oz. at 6v so I don't mind running at 6v.

I've gathered that the Novak Goat bec is not the best bec to tap for voltage regulation of an hv servo. So, my plan is to put the servo on the cc bec and the rx off the Goat bec (I don't care what my receiver operates at, right?)(rx = Spektrum AR600). Is this likely to be a stable configuration?

It will work as long as you wire the ccbec directly to the servo(signal wire to rx, black/red to ccbec) and not through the rx.

Thank You Jason

With so little rc experience and no building expererience, I am sure I will have more questions. It sure is nice to hear someone readily invite you to ask more questions, on a forum! It's usually just some jerk pointing out the search function!

Thanks Again!

Well with RC's it is so easy to get overwhelmed and give up. I am not sure about others but we are willing to help wherever we can to get the new guys to stick around for a while.

Let me know how we can help!!
