i had this problem. dissconnect battery from one esc at a time and calibrate that esc to the radio. after you do it for both you can plug it all back together and run it. for some reason it cannot calibrate throttle, reverse, and neutral when both esc's are plugged in.

this worked for me.

Does the Sidewinder have an internal BEC or do I need to buy one?

1-Yes it has an internal BEC.
2-Yes, you should get an external BEC if you're going to run a servo over ~200inoz.

On 2s it should be ok, but definitely run a BEC if you are on 3s

+1....

On 2S (if the servo will handle it) run it direct from the battery pack.....no need for an external BEC....don't care what ESC internal BEC there is.....

I run 7.2V NiMH so 3S shouldn't be a problem. What voltage does the BEC run? 6.0V like almost everything else? I've never run anything bigger than about 165 inoz so I'm not familiar at all with external BEC's or why I would need one. Never figured I would need one. Looks like I'll do some external BEC researching as soon as I get some time.

What am I missing?
Can someone shed some light on this, I was going to buy the Castle-Link cause I was under the influence that it would work on the AE2. Is this true?

Right from the Axial site..... Axial AE-2 ESC Set-up and Programming , yes, the CClink works with the AE-2.
The AE-2 looks like a Mamba Micro Pro, so I would start there.

ON THE SV2 SIDEWINDER There is another TAB and in that tab there is a Setting for LIMITED REVERSE
Default was 10%.

Change this to 100% and your full reverse will work

Can the Mamba Max Pro operate on brushless OR brushed motors? The side of the box states that it will operate a sensored or sensorless motor. So does sensorless include a brushed motor?

Yup... It'll run brushed as well.

+1.
Just DON'T wire it as "high power" if you want reverse!

Hey I'm trying to setup my dual sidewinders not sv2s with my dx3r and a wantamix I'm having trouble getting them to connect I can get one but the other won't I calibrated them to the rx without them hooked to the wantamix first and the both work but right when I hook them to the wantamix one will arm and the other just blink all three lights and the one that arms doesnt make the motor move but it stops on the yellow light and goes to green when the throttle is pressed and red in reverse. I put the settings the same way it shows in earlier pages and changed the firmware to 1.24. If anyone has this setup a picture of the wiring my help me out but I've tried switching the connectors and facing them the other way. Thanks

I believe there were times I had to move the throttle to get the 2nd ESC to arm once calibrated. It's been a while since I ran my Bully.

Once they arm, go through the WantAmix set-up. Take your time, do it once.
If yours is the newer one, it should hold settings well. The earlier version was decent, but could drift settings at times.

Are all the settings in each ESC the same? I make a profile (drag brake, brake, throttle curves, reverse type, etc.) save it & then load into the 2nd ESC.

I have a CC SV2, with the 3.4 software, is the older software compatible with the SV2 (and where can you find it now?), or, alternately, is there a way with the newest software to remove the pause after braking to reverse?

In Castle ESC's you want "crawler reverse".

I know this is an old thread but does anyone have any idea if I could use a sv1 and a sv2 in an moa together? My thoughts are as long as I put all of the settings the same they should work close enough for me to be able to run them in the same rig. Any help would be great.

You can do a lot of ESC mixing in a MOA, even different brands.
How good/bad it will work has to be tried. Even 2 same ESC's but with different firmware versions can have some quirks.

Basically, try to run the same firmware in your 2 ESC's and use similar settings & see how it goes.
