| What wire gauge?
How do you determine what gauge wire is appropriate in a crawler? In my specific situation I am going to run 3s lipo, a sidewinder, and a 45 turn integy motor. |

We have determined it just by crawling a lot. 13 to 16ga is typical, and since you have 13ga on your sidewinder it wouldn't hurt to use more 13ga. 16ga would be just fine for you though.

16g is more than enough. We don't hardly pull any current, so really, 18 or nice 20 is plenty also. But I always use 16. Anything more is silly. It wont hurt anything, but it is just more bulk, and less flexible.

I like to replace the Novak ESC wires that are 12AWG with 14 or 16. 12 is overkill. However, when I had my LCC and ran a brushless I used 12AWG wires to the motor to help keep the Tekin ESC cooler (the solder posts are the heat sinks). |

I run 14 and haven't had a problem.
