Default TQ3 an 4ch rx noobish question

I recently got a new toy in. It has a cooling fan on it to keep the elecs cool but in 40* weather I don't have that issue running 40mph. So my question is how do I get it so that I can turn it off and on by the 3rd channel on the radio? Here is a pic to show you guys the set up.

I know it is a dumb ass noob question but I cannot seem to make it work like I want. I did do a search and didnt see what I was looking for.

An here is the truck. YEAH ITS UGLY BUT SO WHAT ITS A FORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I saw this last night. If the 3ch switch on the radio and the 3rd channel on the receiver doesn't do anything other than give another hole then whats it there for? what good does it do?

A channel by itself won't actually switch anything. The 3 wires which plug into a reciever (for any channel) provides power, ground, and a control signal to tell a servo or ESC what to do. An adapter such as the one in the link above takes the control signal and is capable of turning on/off a switch which you would use to turn your fan on/off (or lights, etc...).

Anyone know if there is a Radio Shack type version out there, or how to make a homemade switch? I was hoping to get this project done this weekend and dont want to wait to order online and have it shipped Yes call me impatient...

Quick/easy answer.......?
I say get a small servo to plug into an empty receiver port. Use that to trip a small micro switch to turn/off the power to the fan. The fan power would have one wire/leg run through the switch and the servo would open/close the switch as directed by the transmitter.
