| Castle link download???
Just got my Link adapter to program my Castle ESC's and more importantly the BEC's I'm using and there was NO disk with it. I down loaded the software from Castle's site, but the file still says "install wizard". My question is: Will it automatically run when I plug something in, or was the file supposed to change??? NOTE: I got the link used off rctech, but everything's in pretty good shape. I wasn't sure if I "needed" the disk so I was hoping the download would be enough. |

If your using vista, download it to your desktop, then right click on it and select "run as admin". I cant even get the newest version of castle link software to work on vista anyway. I asked on here, and emailed castle, followed there directions and still no luck. Just comes up as a fatal error. I had to revert back to a older version.

Yeah, I'm running Vista. I went through all the prompts for running as admin, I was just curious if It would acknowledge only if an ESC or BEC was plugged in. I didn't have time to try it out yet so I'll find out tomorrow. I had been using the friends laptop with it all installed but his LT is crashed currently, so I decided not to be a bum and get my own. |

It should put an icon on the desktop, or a link in your start menu. Open the program, then plug the link into the computer, once the computer installs the USB drivers for it the little box on the program window will turn green. Once you plug the ECS or BEC into it correctly the second box should turn green and bring up a logo for whatever you plugged in.

Did you get this working Rory? I've got it running here on Vista, so if you have any questions give me a call. |
