epa pods to a 4 channal

I have a 4 channal taxxas controler. it is not the 2.4. the qt is I added the potentiometer to incress the steering the problam is that by doing this modd to the steering I get less steering not more. when I adjust things. I thought by doing the pods I could more steering not less, any help would be nice.

and I did folow the derections in the tq3 thread so it's wired right I think, but could be wrong
