| Best Servo Horn - Hitec 7954SH
Any recommendations on the best horn for this servo? It is going on an XR10, so it needs to have a pretty large hole for the steering arm connection. I think it is like a 3 or 4mm

I swear by the little-known IMEX CLAMPING SERVO HORNS. I know that they have a 3mm threaded hole, and are long like the Robotronics arms. I do not know why, but they are the only arms that I do not destroy on a regular basis. The only source that I know of for these is thru IMEX direct. I stock-up when I see the iMEX rep at iHobby....makes them more reasonable in terms of cost/shipping.....but they are worth it.

I have had good luck with RacerEdge clamping horn. I have seen a guy break one with a hitec 7950 though. Just be sure what ever brand you go with you get a clamp style horn.

I have not been able to damage one of these (using 5995 TG, 7950 TG, 7980 TG) http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showt...ght=servo+horn |

I broke a racers edge with a 7950th. But still have not found much better. I ordered a couple of the ones from Renoirbud, just to check them out. |

I'll second the motion for the Robitronics horn. I initially installed one on a 645MG, but after the gears stripped I replaced it with a 7954SH. Then I broke some knuckles and C's, bent a tie rod, cracked a wheel, but still the same servo horn. Put blue threadlock on the clamping screws less they loosen up on ya. Robitronics horns have 3mm threads, and the threaded portion is real meaty so there is practically no risk of stripping the threads. |

Awesome, thanks for the help everyone! Some of these I was familiar with but others I had not heard of, so this helps with my options. |
