Default Possible faulty cc field link?

I have just received the new field link portable programmer for flying from Castle Creations.

I have hooked it up according to there diagram #2 with the "Y" harness as shown and the signal wire disconnected on the one Y harness side.

I get power but when I push the button on the right hand bottom corner I get no response.

The linked green led and the cut off voltage led are on but I cannot get them to move to the other columns.

I have followed diagram #2 http://www.castlecreations.com/produ...nk.html#flying

Have checked all wiring is correct.

Setup for the xr 10 is 2 Fxr's
The bec power is wired directly to the steering servo and the signal with for the servo is plugged into the rx

All I want to do is up the voltage on the servo as I am running a hitec hs7950th

Do you think I may have a faulty field link or am I missing something.

Come on guys.

Am I doing it right or am I missing something.

Surly most of you don't run your servos with a bec at the factory setting of 5.1 volts or there abouts.

I don't see an issue on how you have it hooked up, but then again I only just received my own Castle Link.

Why did you get the "flying" version instead of the "driving" version??

I'm sure your right but I'm also sure that not to many people program their BEC's in the field. Its a set once and leave it alone function.

I did have problems with my car field programmer when I first got it but after I updated it via the PC I was able to program my car esc's. This may be the case for you and while your updating the field programmer you might as well program the BEC.

The driving version does not allow you to alter the output voltage on your bec

OK, I'll give you that, but I set my BEC using a PC and it's not something you change all the time.
But, hey, your choice. I still don't see an issue with your set-up though. Shrug.

I only want to change it once but I thought I would be easier just using the card (like they advertise) and not the pc etc.

I guess I will have to try the pc way and see if it works.

Make sure you have updated the firmware on the field link. If you have updated the ESC firmware, but not the field link firmware, sometimes the field link doesn't function properly as it cannot recognize the new esc programming.
