Default waterproofing electric's.........

is there anything on any of the ESC's, CC BEC's or RX's that need a breath hole to let out heat when not under the water to help cool them....i know my CC sidewinder has a heat sink that needs to be exposed, thx.......bob

And you didn't ask in here..... Water Proofing Electronics why??

I don't believe anything needs a breathing hole, an air space inside it's "enclosure" should be enough.

Heat is the enemy of all electronics. Some ESCs are better equipped than others to dissipate heat but they all run better and last longer if they don't overheat. Basically waterproofing is finding a way to keep water out and all techniques will hamper it's ability to release heat. Just find a way that works and keep an eye on temperatures, that's pretty much the best advice I can give you. I personally haven't waterproofed any electronics myself, my comp rigs don't go near water and my scaler isn't built yet but I think I'll be trying it on cheap electronics until I find what works for me. I have a ton of cheap servos and a couple cheap ESC's to test it out on, not going to risk my good stuff until I've tested the techniques out myself.

A 4 year old thread or not, it keeps getting updates & keeps similar questions in the same place.
