What kind of battery and charger are you using? Here is a couple of things it could be, 1. Your charger could be set to charge a higher or lower voltage pack then you are trying to charge, 0r 2. It could be that the packs voltage is to low and is out of range for your charger to charge the pack. |

| Could be a bad battery, you might try checking the voltage of the battery in question with a volt meter to see if it is in 6-8volt range, if it got over discharged it can damage the pack and will not take a charge.

Could be that Tamiya connector, they fail at the drop of a hat. Could also be a bad cell, or battery bar connection. If you can get it to charge or discharge, use a temp gun to check for hot spots. If you find an area or cell in the pack that is hotter than the rest, you found your problem.

The 230 is a decent charger, make sure you have it set for the type of battery that you are charging. Look at the manual that came with it, it gives you guide lines for setting the correct voltage and current values for NiCd and NiMh batteries.

OP, as mentioned before, it's possible you have one cell that is failing which is causing issues when charging. It could also be those frikkin connectors. Look inside the "barrel" of the connector, see if it's shiney looking or dark (like it got hot). Sometime you can pop the barrel out and slightly squeeze it smaller to get a better connection. Long term, use a different connector (Deans, Sermos, etc.) | |
