| I need a lipo balancer-sugestions?
I have a onyx230 charger and I have a 2s lipo on the way- just curious to check lipo out so its a cheap battery from hobbypartz.com. I dont know much about lipo yet but I see a balancer would probably be a good idea to have since my charger does not balance. I will be using it in stock Crawler King along with a lipo cut off with stock esc and motor. Eventually will upgrade to a Sidewinder but any help with a stand alone balancer would be great! I see the one on Hobbypartz.com but it is always out of stock and I've seen the same unit on ebay but I hate buying anything that ships from over sea's. Thanks for any and all help! |

I have this: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXMGS7&P=ML I initially bought it to supplement my Dynamite charger, but I have come to love it even though I also have a Hyperion charger now. It charges through the balance taps, but can also be used as an external balancer. I use it to charge (2) 2s lipos in parallel using the Hyperion to balance one of the batteries, and the Equinox to balance the other one while it is charging. It is quite useful and you can find them used pretty cheap. The Blinky is a great one too, but it only balances (no charge capability), but on the other hand it is small and easy to use. |

The Venom Pro Charger Plus does all my batterys comes with balancer and 6 or 8 different types of leads. Have used hard over the last year on everything from 3S Lipos to ToysRUs 7.2 el cheapo kids NiMh ( with a custom made lead). Some others say the wire leads pull out of the connectors, but I have not had any problems. Has quite a few good features and programmable banks. http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...o-Charger-Plus Just my .02 |

Charge rate is based on "C" rating of the pack & capacity. If you don't know the "C" rating (usually on the battery label) use 1C.
