Default Mamba Max Pro help.

I just got my Mamba Max Pro and after programing it to what I want I took it out for a test drive and this happens, when I'm easing into the throttle just before I pull half way it all of a sudden releases this burst and it goes balls to the walls, this is a problem for rock crawling because when I'm on a rock and I need a bit more if I hit that point it releases this burst and my rig goes flying over the rocks at this high speed, I don't know what to look for in the programing section to make it an easy transition from 0% throttle to easing all the way too 100% if need be, with out it jumping to a higher speed at the half way point in my pull of the throttle.

Oh I'm running a Velineon 3500 Kv brushless motor, if anyone else has a mamba Max Pro if you don't mind can you tell me what settings you guys have? Thanks.

I hope this makes sense.

Here's a video. At 6 seconds it does it.

Have you programmed your radio to the ESC? Sounds like that needs to be done.

I recalibrated it to my controller, still doing it.

Set on 0% and it still does it.

If you connect a servo to the throttle channel, is it jumpy too?

1: check your throttle curve (make sure it ramps up from the bottom left corner to the top right corner in a STRAIGHT line) , disable punch control 0%, set start power on high, these are just a few to check

I have the futaba 3pmx and I cant remember exactly what the setting was but it had to do with the throttle curve on the transmitter side, once a friend dialed it down for me, I had never used this transmitter at this point, it was buttery smooth. I wish I had it here to tell you more, but I'm in VA and it's in MS right now.

Shoot, oh well, seems like my ESC just doesn't like low speed.

Do you guys think it could be the BEC going bad? I have variable speeds for each time I pull the throttle. Or could it be the radio? I'm using a Traxxas TQ 2.4gh radio.

Or it could be the simple fact you're running a non sensored Velineon motor on a crawler...

X2....I know there are people out there running the velineon setups in crawlers, but the one time I stuck a brushless castle motor in my rig it did a similar thing. It would cog badly If I tried to jump into the throttle to quickly, so I would ease in and them BAM off she went....off the table off the rocks off the well you get the point. If you go full throttle from a dead stop, does it sit there a sort of twitch ?

Nope, no twitching, cogging, jumping, nothing out of the ordinary, nothing to tell what the heck is wrong.

I was wondering that myself but even sensorless shouldn't have this problem, it could be the firmware because when I down loaded the 1.26 version this morning and my problem went away.

Problem fixed, it was the 1.30 firmware update for me, I down graded the firmware to the 1.26 update and it works perfectly now.
