| 3rd channel led light wiring
I have searched a little and cannot find exactly what I need. I'm hoping someone can shine some light on this for me. I do not have a multimeter so this is why I'm asking. I have a 4 channel setup on my SCX with 3 position switches. I have a light controller that has 3 wires but it will not cut on and off by the aux channel. My winch works fine on both channels but the lights just stay on. How can I wire this so I can turn my lights on and off from the radio?

What light controller do you have? The more information you give, the quicker we will be able to help you.

It's all RC4WD, radio and controller. I have the 4ch 2.4g radio/reciever http://store.rc4wd.com/RC4WD-XR4-4-C...ver_p_676.html. The controller is from their scale light kit http://store.rc4wd.com/Super-Bright-...m-1_p_687.html |

Based on the specs for the light controller, it appears that the LEDs will always be on. It is more of an LED distribution harness than a controller (actually, I guess it doesn't even claim to be a controller). Maybe someone else can recommend an alternative for you. |

I make a LED controller. Plug it into a (two position or more) channel on your receiver and plug your lights into it. Have a look here: Remote Switch For LED Lighting Cheers, Al |

I make another version of it too... just haven't posted about it yet. It lets you control two sets of lights (independently) from one 3 position channel.

This is how it works. Normally the switch sits in the middle. Push the switch to the left (and return it to center) and output number one toggles. Push the switch to the right (and return it to center) and output number two toggles. When I say toggle, I mean that if it is already off, it will turn on and if it is on, it will turn off. Each output is independent of the other. Both or one can be on or off as you wish. Hope that makes sense. I think I need to do a video of it, but hopefully I'm saying what I mean! I don't have a picture of it ready, but it looks very similar to the single LED switch controller, except it has two sets of output sockets. | |
