| 7950th o-ring/gasket coming off?
hey guys, my new 7950th, after 1 crawl, the o-ring/gasket inbetween the aluminum heatsink and the plastic part has come out of the gap. what can i do? am i able to open the servo safely without damaging the components? i read that servos are now bad to open since they have to be put back the same way as you did before, or else the computer chip wont be able to use the servo or something along the lines of that. |

It is very simple to open these up...except for the fact that those bugger screws have a million threads...and will take you 10 minutes just to open it. Just do it. You wont hurt it. Casey |

It is just a simple mechanical device. You wont hurt it. I had to open my 7950 because my crawler jumped into the pool when I went to Australia last month. | |

Same thing happened to mine. I just loosened the screws untill there was enough gap to push the seal back into place and retightened the screws.

If you're scared of messing something up, get some liquid electrical tape and brush some on around the area. The end of a zip-tie or clipped Q-tip works well for getting the stuff around the area as well. Just wipe the area with some alcohal or cleaner first, it'll be sealed up really good. Other wise, like they've said, just take out the screws, hold the case tight and pull up the top enough to work the gasket back in. |

You wont hurt anything. I've disassembled many servos, taken the gears out and put them back in (more than likely, not in the same position)....and never had any issues. |

Mine has done the same thing. I simply loosened the screws and slipped the gasket back in, no big deal. Super easy !!!!!!
