Default battery options for micro rc crawlers?

I’m kinda new into the rc, but one of the first things that came to my head after running my micro (losi) crawler for the first time was the battery performance and the way to enhance it. I know that there are some available options on the market like lipo batteries, but its performance still doesn’t “dazzle”. I was thinking if anyone tried to modify a camera/camcorder battery to use in their crawler? They all come in a wide variety of shape and specs, and the capacity significantly outperforms losi stock batteries. I was trying to find some information about this topic on the web, but with no luck. So, my question is - Is there anything that forbids a random camera battery to be modified into losi power supply?

Thanks
