hooked my old air boat 1700kv outrunner up to my vxl in hope i could use it in my scx10. ran ok but was hitting peak rpms like a redline. is the esc gonna fry this thing thats my thought . from too much power. it;s like a 28mm heli i think

outruners have more toruqe need bigger pinion

I've noticed my VXL controller doing the same with three different outrunners, all around the 1200 kv range. So I don't use them. Disappointing part of the VXL controller... and I have no idea why it does that. But yeah, like hitting fuel cut on a car or something.
