| Small 4s esc's
Well been doing lots of reading and I'm trying to find out what guys are running 4s on and successfully? I know all of them need their own external bec... kind of a given is this hobby. The fxr needs a bigger 1000mf 25v cap, The sidewinder just the bec, how about the Mamba max micro? I'm guessing being that it's so tiny it likely wont handle the juice of a 50 or 55t motor on 4s. Any insight would be wicked. Just getting things together to start my xr. Thanks guys! |

Ya it's the same size as the sidewinder... I'm leaning that way because of the huge power handling and good size built in bec.

I love my brxl's on 4s....but the brxl's internal BEC on 4s is really weak you need a external BEC on 4s for sure! |

What about with the 2 esc plugged into the same rx? Wouldn't that share the load between the 2?

thats how mine is...it runs everything fine long as you hardwire the extrnal BEC to the servo...witch I'm sure you plan to do after our chat in the servo thread a few days ago... I run both esc's to one RX and servo just hard wired to an extrenal BEC Pos and neg to BEC and signal to the RX. clear as mud... |

Ya I was planning on running right to the bec lol... But if the 2 internal bec's could power the 7950 ok then I may not need the extra size and weight of the bec? Any one know if you run 2 brxl internal bec in parallel if they would support a 7950? Should amount to 10 amps in theory just I could be wrong.. it's late lol Ya I looked... still pretty sizable. |
