| NEWB motor swap question... (LNC)
my friends swapping out his motor for a tekin t45. basically we're walking in the dark on this one... ive never messed with any of this stuff and he has no idea either. but the tekin has like 4 more connections than the factory motor... can someone explan to me on how to hook this thing up? thanks |

there is a positive side of the endbell (end of the motor where you solder) and a negative side, hench there are 2 pieces of copper on the endbell itself. not familiar with the tekin motors and their markings, but on my trinity there is a small + sign on the positive side. there are small tabs to solder to on each side of the motor from there, i put the wire on the tabs closest to the zero marking on the can. most important thing is DO NOT solder both wires on the same piece of copper on the endbell. above image: as you can see, there are two copper pieces of endbell. my motor wires are soldered directly to the brush wires, but again, not sure if the tekin will have them bolted or soldered.
