Default Newbie with Scorpion Issues

I recieved a pieced together Axail Scorpion form a friend. I've replaced the transmission and the pinion gear. After putting it back together it does not run. when powered up the front steering servos will turn the wheels but nothing else. The ESC has power and the receiver has power but nothing gets to the motor. All suggestions welcome.

Battery straight to the motor to see if the motor works.

Check to make sure you dont have a hung brush too. If the motor is used clean it and pull the brushes out to make sure the hoods are nice and clean so the brushes can move correctly without hanging up.

Thanks guys. After pulling my hair out, I let it sit for a day. Found a bad connection with wire going to rcvr. This thing rocks...

general rule of thumb, the smaller the scorpion, the worse the sting!
