| Losi mrc motor in exceed
I just bought an exceed maxstone 16 and the stock motor was very smooth, reverse lacked power though. I bought a new losi mrc motor and installed with proper gear mesh. all cases/axles are greased. after the install of new motor i have much more power( both directions), but i have the same cogging feel that i got with the un-sensored brushless i had in a slash a while ago. It just feels "lurchy" which is not condusive to crawling. Anyone have an idea?

Thought about that swap myself...... I guess try a lower count pinion gear on the motor.

I was thinking that too. unfortunately the exceed has a set screw type pinion where the losi has press on style. i modified a flat edge on the shaft of the motor. haven't looked for small holed pinion gear with screw yet. under load it's not half as bad as when off the ground.

its a great swap though. about double the power, plus reverse actually has power now.
