Default 3 channel Tx & rear steer

I am new to the 2.4 ghz stuff but really love how it works.

I would like to find a TX/RX that I can use for rear steer, but really dont want to spend a whole bunch of money because it is going to be used with a losi micro. So basically I want a radio with 3 channels that has, or that I can add to have a 3 pos switch... and has endpoints.
So what are my options? I have read through a whole bunch of threads but am still confused.

You only want three positions for the rear steer? Left, right and center? The DX3E is pretty economical....$99 for Tx and Rx....

Yes, that is what I want. I have seen a few systems that are like $30 but they make me a little nervous.
In all reality $100 for me is a lot to spend on a micro considering that's what I paid for the whole thing rtr

Well, the radio can be had for $70 without the receiver if you already have some spectrum receivers.

Another option is the RC4WD XR3 or XR4 radio. They are slightly cheaper.
