With so many variables that we don't know, I doubt many of us can do much.......

Give us the specs.....esc, radio, motor, battery, etc......might help us point you to things to try to solve the problem.

sure
a 55 turn integy motor
3000 niimh battery
esc traxxa XL 5 waterproof
radio is a custom traxxas 6 channel pistol grip
but before we jump to the radio I have used it with another rig and the throttle worked perfect

I'd suggest calibrating the esc again , but under normal conditions. There is a soft stopper on the trigger when forward (pulling the trigger), so if you calibrated it with a heavy finger and pulled it way back in the case tooo far, then chances are you aren't meeting that set calibration point when just crawiling normally.

We are talking about that radio i built correct?

+1.....I will assume this is a MOA since you stated "motors".

Ok, do this....

Connect a battery directly to the motor in the correct polarity......do the wheels rotate correctly and at speed? Now reverse the wires.....does it get faster or slower or stay the same.......if it gets a tad slower or stays the same, I would say the motor is NOT the problem. Which leaves either the ESC or Reciever/Radio as the problem...

Start by recalibrating the ESC. Its not uncommon for them to grab neutral at the wrong spot....

Then, once thats done and if your problem is still there.....I would make sure all the radio settings are set correctly....

Just because it worked with one truck, don't assume your radio will just be dialed on the next..........Radios are like woman......just because it worked with one, doesn't mean it will work with another

Could be motor timing (endbell advance).

Motor timing can be (on most motors) adjusted to alter the timing, so very similar to a distributor on a petrol engine.

When you run a motor with 5 degrees advance backwards by reversing the voltage, like you have to on one end of a MOA, it is technically then running 5 degrees of retardation, resulting in "faster in reverse" but poor power and excessive heat and power consumption spinning "forward".

How to see if you motor has advance?...

the long of the short is it's working and I'm happy
thanks every one

and yes it was the radio you made, musts a heads up to everyone his radio kicks ass
check them out if you want a postal grip with lots of channels

I have a feeling you just pulled a little too hard first time you calibrated,

when i built yours i was experimenting and i removed the stopper on the trigger, an i ended up replacing with something alot softer. So if pulled hard enough you would get an additional 5-10 percent of throw. because of flexing the stopper back.

Thanks for the kind words, right now i'm having a hard time competing with the 4pl though, it will do everything mine can. but its got a screen, so more user friendly..., and same price range, i have had lots interested till i told them 200-250.But i have plans for 3-4 radios, all of which will blow any competion away at the price range. But these are aways out till i can figure out fcc and getting moulds made.

Anyways back on topic...Glad you got it figured out
