Default Whats the fastest brushed crawler motor

What is the fastest brushed hand-wound or other motor in production. I have a 7t puller but looking for a bit faster....will only be running 2s on it probably. I would like to just run stock SCX10 esc or maybe I will use my FXR if necessary.

I know I can go get the 2 speed tranny and I have Jason's mount....just takes up sooo much room.

You can run what you want. The question is that you should ask is what set up will give you the best top speed and torque in a summit tranny. Its the way you set it up for the specific purpose. Pinions and batteries are also aa big part of this.

I agree. That is why I bought a couple 7t pullers. But they get hot on 3s and on 2s they are comparable to a cheap axial 27t. Maybe I just need to bit the bullet and get the summit tranny matched with a really good 2s. I tried a polyquest 45c 2s on the 7t puller and I was impressed with the severe torque but not the speed.

How much faster would the summit trans give??

if you can find a 5T HH Cobalt, it would be faster than the 7T

How fast do you want it? a 14 turn puller on 4s+ has some speed and wicked torque.

A 5t arm would indeed give you more speed. Or you could add some timing to the motor or go up a bit in the pinion. Sounds like you have plenty of torque. Trade some for wheelspeed.

Otherwise it is as fast as you want to go. Get a 20t handwound or something.
