Default DX3E TX compatable with TQ4 LinkRX

I have available to me (albeit several hundred miles away) a DX3E TX. Will it work with the RX from my Traxxas TQ4 Link? The DX3E has an adjustable 3rd channel with 3 pos, the traxxas does not.
Will it work? Will it be a major PITA? Is it worth bothering to ship it from FL to IN?

A dx3e is worth it to ship if its free. but no it won't work with the tq rx you will need to get a spektrum or a Losi rx

Yup they're right.
Even though they are both 2.4ghz, different manufactures receivers are not interchangeable (expection being Spektrum & Losi as they are both Spektrum).

Not sure what your final goal is, but I have an adapter which can create 3 adjustable positions from your TQ4 Link (you don't even need to open up your transmitter).
