Default general electronics question

im about to install my dig servo and cc bec set at 6 volts, im goin to be followwing cc install instructions, my tx/rx is from ace r/c its a 3 channel with a on/off 3rd position, can i use the on/off for my dig or should i get a dx3e/r, on my radio i am able to adjust my epa's for the 3rd channel in small incraments on the high/ low side or the forward/backwards throw, so with that being said will i be able to use my exsisting radio

I would say yes, but you said its a 2P 3rd channel..with that, you would only be able to be 4wd/rear dig, or 4wd/rear free wheel. I had that for a while and didn't bug me, you just won't be able to get the full function of the 3 position dig.

well i would be using only 4wd/rear dig i only have dig to help me turn tight when i need it so its not to big of a deal, ill just have to figure out how far of throw i need for my dna dig for 4wd/rear lock

Start with very low end points and work your way up, you can burn up a servo in no time if the servo is trying to push an immovable object.

true...what I did was set it very low then up the number and watch it (feel around if you can't see it) once it "digs" stop..then try it around...you might have to adjust it till you get it right. I had to do this with my R2D tranny

Ok thanks for the info guys, what would be a good spot to start at settings wise, would 50% throw forward/backwards be good

honestly mine ended up like 25% 4wd and 22% rear dig....I think it depends on your servo horn. I had a really tall (long) one one, so the throw was really long.
