The 4pl is a much better radio for crawling, save the cash.

I really like my DX3R, the most comfortable radio I've owned. But, the Pro just doesn't have the features that I think would make it worth that much when you can get the 4PL with everything it has to offer.

The only thing that would get me to lean towards the Pro is the number if Spektrum RXs I have and the cost of the Futaba RXs...

The receivers for the 4PL are fhss receivers. They run about 50 bucks. Same as spectrums.

Does the DX3R Pro have any new mixing features over the DX3R?

Im wondering the same thing but I would probably save the money and buy the futaba anyways. I did read that it has a sd card slot for updates so I am guessing that any additional features could be added afterwards if they ever get around to programming them in.

Come on bob, don't sugar coat it, tell us what you really think!!!!!

As to a SD card slot, either that or a USB connection in a Futaba would be nice. Oh, and a $10 to $20 drop in price for RX's.

To the OP, the 4PL has a lot going for it, that is the route I would suggest.

The dx3r radio is the most ergonomic radio I've ever used. Spektrum really dropped the ball on the dx3r pro, shoulda been Dx4r. Go Futaba 4PL.

Yes and no... Retail, yes, but you can pick up Losi 3 CH RX for cheap (20-30 bones).

All the info you need is in the 4pl thread, it'll tell where to send it.

So, I can use these rx for Spektrum and Futaba? I need a couple more rx to go with new radio.

No only Spektrum.

Futaba uses a different radio protocol, they're not compatible. Greatscott was just saying that the FHSS (Futaba) RX and the Spektrum SR300 (or the Losi) are the same price, $50..

OK, thanks looks like Spektrum works only with Losi.
