| lipo meltdown
has anyone had a lipo get smoking hot and start to spit out whatever chemicals are in it? Just had that happen on a battery with about 4 charges on it and was using the crawler in the house not even climbing anything. I thought it was a good brand, hyperion 3 cell 1800 mah. It's good and melted now. Disconnected it quickly, and it doesn't seem to have hurt my car. I put another battery in and everything works. ??? |

Yes I know about lipo's, I have a thunder power charger with hyperion balance adapter. I have balanced this pack every time I have charged it , all 4-6 times.

I had this happen to a new lipo as well. Not a fun event, and I was using a balance charger and all. Ryan |

got a hold of the hobby store today, and they passed me on to the local distributor. I contacted them and they asked me to send pdf of the reciept and pictures of the car and battery, and said they would take care of me. we'll see, more to come.
