Seems like that would be a non issue thing for water.

cool you brought this up since i play in wet conditions far a majority. I'm already dean'd all my batteries, but now i'm gonna go one step further and start using liquid tape for sealing the connection. the plan is to have the two ends apart and build up layers so that hopefully when connected they make a seal. I fried a battery today while doing this. and this is what is prompting me to make seals at my connections(even my esc/servo extension connections). i think if i can get a good pliable buildup around my connections then i'll be good. if not there are places in town that custom build automotive waterproof connectors that i know i'll find someone that can. if i end up that route i'll post up. |

There is no need to waterproof the battery connections.

You can shoot some dielectric grease in your connectors, works for me. |

Typically, waterproofing the battery connections or a brushed motor & it's connections is not really needed. It won't hurt anything to do it though. Waterproofing the RX, most ESC's and a little sealing on servo's is worth the effort. Just dropping the battery into a balloon or plastic baggy (with a rubber band at the opening) is enough unless it sits in deep water for a while. | |

I just silicone the front of the lipos were all the wires are and i've taken all my lipos under water dozens of times with no problems Like stated above a little dielectric grease or ox-gaurd on the connectors and your set to hit the water. I never trusted lipos and water but as long as you seal it up good you should have no problems. I have a freind that plasti dips all his lipos and he also never has any problems. Oh yea deans connectors are probably your best bet rocksteadily

Shrink tubing with some silicone on the opening works really well for me.
