Default Where do you get your lipos?

Hey Guys,
I've been buying practice packs from Hobbyking lately which work great. But I'm looking for some faithful power for the comp days.

I need some 3s 850mah for the berg, and some 3s or 2s 450mah for the mini. Preferrably 30C+

Its seems lately my cars are pulling more power and the batterys just aren't up to the challenge.

I was using some thunderpowers for the mini and 2 new out of 4 crapped out in less then a week. I'm trying to avoid going to maxamps.

Go local! I run the thunder power pro power 30c batts and CBP 35c 850 4s packs in my losi. The CBP ones have noticeable power over the TP ones. Chris's batterys have became what i measure other pack against now

www.cheapbatterypacks.com. they have some AWESOME packs for great prices. Chris is a great guy to deal with and he's a reputable vendor on the site!

Trust me, these batteries are good. They have 3s 35c 850mah packs too. I just bought 3 more tonight!

My LHS is pretty big on hyperion packs. I have a 30c 2S and it does great. No problems so far. Hyperions also have the high end 45c packs as well if 30C isnt enough

I'm fully aware of CBP, I have nothing against them, but they don't offer the size I need in the C rating I'm looking for.

it seems, if i remember right, chirsthebatman, posted up some results of his packs compared to hyperions, and they were real close. So try hyperion.

Also i read somewhere that the gens ace packs from hobbypartz are equivilant to thunderpower packs.

I've bought 99% of my packs from Dad, I mean Holmes Hobbies. I run his 1300 3 cells in my radio's, bergs, xr10 and Ed's scaler. I run an 850 3 cell I bought from Krawler Hobbies in my Bastard Jr. rock racer.

A tiny pack John has that I've never tried, it might work.... Polyquest 700mah 30C

I'm not proud of it, but I've been getting my LiPos from China (Hobby King). The reason is because they offer the physical size I need and I couldn't get it from anyone else. That being said, I've had very good experiences with the Rhino 3s packs, but the two tiny 2s packs I'd received never took a charge. Their Turnigy packs have worked well for me, too. I always look for Stateside battery sources when it's time to buy, but I just seem to have really bad luck and none are quite the size I need.

I"m usually a Hyp or CBP guy. Both have great testing results. I've only run HYP but my new xr project will be CBP and I'll be converting my sporty at the same time. If he doesn't have what you need on his site try PM'ing him and ask what he can get.

I use Blue Lipos from hobbypartz.com in my crawlers as well as my helis. Seem to have just as much power as anything else. As cheap as the Chinese ones, (probably are chinese), the size i'm looking for and ship from the US.

If you want the higher C rating in those sizes check out www.hobbypartz.com

When you go to the battery page there is a grid that shows up on the top right of the page. Use it to choose the 3S 40C packs. The packs are made by Sky Lipo and have been treating me really well. I have two of the 800's and 5 of the 1000's. They don't come with Deans plugs, but with the price point and the fact that they do ship from the US I can't complain about having to solder on a $1.50 female Deans.

Take a minute to watch the video about the Sky packs on their site...I think you'll see they are a good choice.

I've used several small packs and from my actual experience, I would place them in the following order.. I would try and stick with 30c or better.... These packs shown are a bit lower c-rating.

1. Hyperion
2. Gens Ace
3. Thunder Power
4. Zippy
5. Blue Lipo
