What type of motor? How you powering your setup, Lipo?

Without knowing what you have, I would say something Castle..Prob a
Sidewinder...It gets every need solved besides running sensored Brushless.

Pretty basic...All your looking for is a cheap ESC that can handle brushed/NiCd.
The Sidewinder does that and some, able to switch to lipo later. Holmes hobbies
has a TorqueMaster ESC he special tunes them to run with
brushed motors, plus they are equipped with a on-board BEC to help your
steering servo with power. Tekin FXR is another choice. If you never owned
ether brands...I would look into Castle Creations or the Holmes Hobbies
ESC..Good luck.

If you're looking for a budget esc, I can't complain about my lrp ai runner. Its waterproof, small, handles 15t + brushed motors, and rpp had it for about $50. doesn't do 3s lipo and doesn't do brushless if you go that route though.
