Default Pathetic Run Times?

I run a 1300 3s 30c pack, fxr esc, cc bec, savox servo on a 35t motor ax10 setup, I run maybe 20 minutes all at slow driving. I run the same setup on a 45t motor on my scaler and get 3-4 hours, whats the deal? Why such a dramatic change.....

i'm no axial expert, or know any general axial knowledge. But there are a few things i can see being a problem.

First rotate all the drive train by hand without motor attached, does it seem real loose, low resistance etc.

Next thing that comes to mind, is it may be motor. What motors are you running. Also are both of them zero timed.

Final thing is gearing. Is your ax10 geared way low and your just on the throttle alot harder?

AX10 diffs/gears very smooth, runnin 35t integy lathed motor with HD & 43/13 gears. Dont know how to 0 time motors & what it means.

RC4WD trail finder, all stock gears running R2 tranny with RC4WD 45t motor, all turns smooth also

Driving both slow throttle, the R2 is geared real low but im more agressive with that than my axial

If you are underdriving the rear or overdriving the front it will cause an extra load on the motor. What is your spur and pinion on the tranny?

Could be a bad motor, servo, or ESC causing a big drain. My gut is saying ESC or servo. Do you have an amp meter?

I'm betting the AX has a lot more weight in the wheels also. To me that runtime only seems about ten minutes short, I call bullshit on the same pack running 3-4 hours in the scaler.

I have to call bullshit on 3-4 hours as well, I run a 1250 mah 3s lipo on a 7t puller and I get about 20-25 mins.

Maybe you ran it for 5 mins, went home, had lunch, got laid, took the thrash out on the way back you stopped at every single red light then at around 3 1/2 hours you started crawling again, you just didn't noticed all the other things you did

my mini with a brushless only gets 20 min. with a 730mAh pack. I would like to know how you get 3-4 hours with a pack less than twice as big with a heavier crawler. You might wanna retime that drive time.

bigger tires on the ax-10, faster motor, higher gearing, more weight, the servo using more battery, theres where your losing the run time.
