| which crawler motor to buy?
I've got a Night Crawler that I recently waterproofed but when I do get in water, the tire foams get waterlogged and every five minutes I'm having to squeeze the water out just so my motor can turn the tires. Anyway, it has a stock 55T Losi motor and ESC on it. Good ESC but motor sucks. What motor should I buy that will give good wheel speed and good power? I bought a cheap 35T motor from RC4WD but it is no different than my Losi motor. No more speed or power. Shouldn't the 35T be faster than my 55T? Thanks for the help.

When your foams get water logged, you're adding a tremendous amount of weight to the tires. Rotational mass will be a killer for any motor. If you're going to run in water, you need to seal up your tires/wheels. If nothing else, put a dab of silicone in the vent holes. |
