what kind of truck are you running? I went to the 12.3 in my ballistic for the LCC. i run the hs gears, a 15T pinion, and 3s. I have great wheel speed. Very happy with the change.

The small rotor has smoother startup with almost double the RPM, I'm not a fan of the 14mm rotor at all.

the 14mm rotor has mor torque but less prm and a rougher startup than the 12.3mm. on my losi i ran the 12.3mm and never saw a need for more torque the 14mm provided

I am also using 18.5T but with 15T pinion on 3S. I have HD worm gears in the front and stock worm in the rear and the combination has good torque and wheel speed. I have the stock rotor. Try the HD worm only in the front and compare.

Ive got the 18.5t with the stock 14mm rotor, im running a MMP esc on 4s 45c lipo and get crazy wheel speed, heaps of torque and GREAT very low speed control on my losi with stock worms.. VERY happy with the setup but its only been great once i fitted the MMP, was only average with other esc's and crap low speed control

The 14mm always worked well w/ the stock gears, when i went HD's i wanted more WS so i went with the 12.3mm much nicer WS.

Axel...be careful runnin a stock and a HD worm it can cause serious binding and premature failure IMO.

angelo, if your asking if the gear ratio is higher on the HD gears than yes, you gain more WS. I wanted more than just the gears provide so i went with the 12.3 rotor.

well, i mean this
but about the temperatures and the torque?
the torque that i need when i approche an obstacle, when i have to dig and then to go 4wd, is it the same or i lose a certain amount?

I noticed no real torque loss, its a little smoother down low and alot faster up top. All i can say is get one and try both thats what i did and settled on the 12.3
