Spektrum reciever question

I heard of guys using their aircraft radios for crawlers, so what I'd like to do is use my DX6i. My question is do I have to buy an aircraft reciever or can I use any reciever as long as it has DSM2? Any help would be great!

Usually surface receivers don't bind with air radios and vice versa. I cannot say I have tried any possible combination but everything I have tried so far didn't work.

Yup MadForce is on the money.
You cant bind surface to air and vice versa.
