Default Servo Burnt Up?

Running a Hitec 7995tg that I bought used off of here...was crawling yesterday and it quit working, it will only turn to the right and will not return to zero. Did the electronics burn up? I pulled it apart and couldn't find anything wrong with the gears, greased them up and still nothing. I've noticed that it is harder to turn by hand now then it was before I had problems with it...did the magic dust finally run out?

Default

Took it apart and hooked my battery up to it...the motor in the servo would start to turn without applying any power from the transmitter to it.If I turn the wheel to the right it would spin freely, but would not return to center and would not turn left. I also noticed a small amount of smoke coming from the rear of the motor. How is Hitec's customer service/repair? I really like this servo and if I can get it repaired I would like to do that.
