Default LCC up in smoke... A little puzzled???

Was doing some test and tune with My LCC when poof. Smoke just started rising from under the body, and filling my room up. Got the body unplugged battery thinking it was the Tamiya plugs Im using on 3s lipo (it was all I had). So I unplug it let it cool off, and go to plug everything back up and I got no beeps from my side winder indicating that the motor is working correctly?

My set up is

DX3e
sr300 rx
Hitec 645mg
Side winder ESC
Traxxas titan 21t
traxxas dig servo
3s lipo's

Did I burn my motor up? Never had a motor go up in smoke before.

You're flirting with disaster using tamiya plugs on a 3 cell pack. Take your motor out and put some voltage straight to it to see if its toast or not. Most times by tthe time you get it out, you will know by the way it smells if its what went or not.

The thing smelt like something burning about 10 mins before it went up and it just kept slowly losing power so I ordered a new motor and deans last night.
