Default 2nd gen sidewinder help...

I just got my new sidewinder from Castle today. Not sure if its brand new or refurbished. (It was a repair deal) Everything seems to work fine except for the throttle. All the led's light up and it makes the beeping noise, and the steering works. I just can get any power to the motor. I have it wired up with a BEC set at 6 volts and have tried it with both 2s and 3s. Still nothing. I can't see where I missed anything while setting it up with the Castle Link either. Any suggestions?

Is the motor brushed or brushless?
Is the ESC running in brushed or brushless mode?
If you are running brushed, what wires from the ESC are connected to the motor??

Its a brushed motor, and its set for a brushed reversing motor. Black and red wire are connected to the motor

Yup, with the S2 & sct sidewinder its red & white.

But it wasnt a mistake in the manual it allegedly a firmware issue thats going to be fixed eventually.

Plus he already said it was in brushed mode...

+1.
I figured the issue was the white wire, thus my questions. Curious to see if this resolves the issue.

Thanks guys! The white wire did the trick, I kinda feel dumb now but I didn't have the manual to go by. Castle just sent me a new sidewinder with no manual. I just figured the Sv2 would be the same as my old sidewinder that I sent in.

The manual wouldn't have helped, it would have stated what you 1st did, NOT what was really needed.

But, you came on here (didn't search much) asked your question and received replies.
Yes, this has been asked a number of times recently, thus the fast responces.
