Default Shift servo?

I have a scx10 running a rc4wd xr4 radio and I am wanting to put a summit trans in it but I did not know if I would be able to run a shift servo off a three position switch w/o any epa/exp adjustments?

Probably not. You can get a servo stretcher though, it'll give you those adjustments without having to upgrade your radio.

You can probably do it, but it would take some futzing with the servo arm & linkage to get the correct throw without overloading either the trans or servo.
A servo stretcher would likely be a better option.

You could use something like this, traxxas #4968x. I took all the other shift linkage off my summit trans and hooked this to the hole in the shifter rod. It's worked fine so far.

I've been using a servo saver on my Bruiser's shifter for 20 years, simple, cheap and effective.

Thanks for the replies, I am new to the hobby and don't know much yet.
