Default Transmitter for the dual esc's

I currently own a Spektrum DX3 (yes the old one) and did the 3-pos switch mod.
My comp rig was and still is a ax10 axled rig and i ran it with dig and without, no speciial features or programming done and it did its job perfectly.

My problem is the following, i recently bought a XR10 of off ebay and i really want to run dual esc's (thinking MMP's or FXR's) beacuse of independent control and to close out any clodstall wich i had with my 2.2 clod back in the day.

Is it possible to run rear and front dig with a normal 3 channel transmitter, i find it very strange that all of these people run 4 channel radios while they only use 3?

Thanks for your input guys,

I've been out of the whole rc thing for about a year so i'm a bit behind

wantasummit makes a dual ESC adapter for radio's like yours. You can contact him. The reason people use the 4PL and 4PK/S, isn't because they need 4 channels, but those are the only(that I know of) radios that can control 2 ESC's without getting into stick radios.

The thing i have a problem with is that i would love to own the 4pl or 4pks, but i just have a thing against having very expensive 4ch transmitter without using all channles.

Anyone have any experience with the olrder, 3pk transmitter. I thought thatthat one could do about anything with it's 3rd channel

I wouldn't call the 4PL expensive. It's quite a bit cheaper then a lot of 3 channels and has a lot more capabilities.

I know I'll need the 4th channel when the cutting brake comes out for the XR10.

you can use a 3pks with dual esc's, just don't have much proportional throttle control

We think you'll be very happy with the 4PL....the revised TX firmware should be shipping now since most places were out of stock while Futaba did the production change-over.
I believe most places, at least here in the US, have stock again or will very soon.

The Nomadio React and Sensor will do that as well...

Just got my 4pl and did all of my programming without the manual. It's stupid simple to use. I haven't set up dual ESC's on it yet but as straight forward as everything else is on it and looking at Harley's instructions it will be just as simple.

The nomadio's are great radios, it's just a shame they left the rc market. Of course government contracts probably pay a fair bit more.

Exactly, i'll build a custom radio for someone. Or offer a kit if they can build their own...
