Default Losikid Backlight for the DX3R

I picked up a backlight kit for my Spektrum DX3R from Losikid:
DIY Universal screen Backlight kit: DX3S, DX3R, and others!!!
It arrived quickly and I had excellent communication with Losikid throughout the entire transaction. He answers PMs quickly and is on this board almost every day.

The kit arrived in excellent condition and packaged well.

Here is how the pre-wired kit for this radio looks:

However, after a bit of my feedback, I believe he is going to eliminate the two plugs on the driver (at the bottom of the picture) and have the user solder the leads directly to the battery tray. I had trouble removing the factory plug from the power switch on the radio and think others might as well, so I suggested the change.

A picture mid-install:

And the finished product:
(in a dark room)

(lights on in the room, backlight on)

(lights on in the room, backlight off)

Overall, I am really happy with this mod and will soon be installing one on my other radio (Nomadio React). This install was fairly easy and anyone with basic wiring skills can complete this. You will need a soldering iron, but everyone in this hobby should already have one. The only other tools needed are basic hand tools. The most difficult part of this install is lining up the boards when putting the radio back together. Overall, this should take about 1 hour of time.

Thanks again LK!
