Default HiTec servo rebuild ?

I have a Hitec 7955tg that I got used and it appears that it needs to be re-built. Can I just send it to HiTec to get it re-built or do I have to have a receipt and all the paper work for them to do it ? I searched and didnt find anything about this, not saying its not been answered before just saying I couldnt find it. Thanks for any help I get

As a rule of thumb, they will cover warranty work within the 2 year period at least once, after that they may ask for a receipt.

Odd, my 7955TG went up in smoke a week and a half ago. Sent it to Hitec and they got it this last monday, hopefully will be hearing from them sometime next week. Pretty Easy process, fill out the form with as much information as you can, print it off and mail it in.

When you get your servo back, make sure you get the Overload Protection turned on. It comes turned off by factory defualt, but in crawlers it should be set to 10%. This will prevent it from "flaming out" in the future.

Can this be done by the user or is it only programmed at the factory?

X2...how would I turn it on? Besides, I bought mine used as well off of here. I think it was a combination of my EPA's being WAAAY out of line(servo was humming constantly) and me being a noob. I've transplanted my Dig servo(645MG) as a temporary steering servo and have figured out how to adjust my radio. Steer's great now, but can't wait for the 7955tg to get here.

It's done by the end user, Hitec has a number of programers available. HFP20 Stand Alone, HPP21, and HPP21+. Your LHS may even have one available to use if you don't want to buy one.
